WIMRA has received this letter from Sail Melbourne:

We will re-open the on-line entries and if we have at least 12 paid entries by October 31, we will run the event. As you know, the event will be run in SB3’s. If we do not have at least 12 paid entries by this date, we will have no choice but to cancel.

I am sure you can appreciate, that we can only make our decisions based on the entries we had received and unfortunately by end of September, we had only received 4 entries, none of which had paid their deposit. We had not received any indication that others were going to enter.

We are thrilled that there is in fact interest in Sail Melbourne and truly would like to see Women’s Match Racing taking part this year.

I will endeavour to have the on-line entries back up on the Sail Melbourne (http://www.sailmelbourne.com.au/) website by the end of today and look forward to seeing the entries come in!
